About the role
We are looking for an experienced Product Manager – B2B Lending with a strong commercial background and proven track record in business lending to take ownership of our B2B lending product. This role is critical to the continued growth of our lending business and requires someone who has done this before in practice; not just in title.
You will be responsible for shaping and scaling a B2B lending product across both small-and large ticket lending, working closely with commercial, risk, technology, and operations teams. The ideal candidate understands credit risk, lending economics, and portfolio performance, and can balance customer needs, risk appetite, and commercial outcomes.
This is not a purely technical product role. We are specifically seeking a commercial product leader who understands how B2B lending works end to end, from origination and underwriting to pricing, risk management, and lifecycle optimization.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the product strategy roadmap for our B2B lending offering, with a clear focus on commercial outcomes, scalability, and risk-adjusted growth.
Lead the development of lending products across different ticket sizes, including SME and larger corporate lending.
Work closely with credit risk, finance, sales, operations, and technology to ensure products are commercially viable, compliant, and scalable.
Translate market needs, customer feedback, and portfolio performance into clear product requirements and prioritization decisions.
Actively engage with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to validate product-market fit and identify growth opportunities.
Use data and portfolio insights (e.g. approval rates, defaults, margins, customer lifetime value) to inform product decisions and continuous improvement.
Ensure lending products are designed with a strong understanding of credit risk, underwriting logic, pricing models, and regulatory constraints.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for a commercially minded Product Manager who thrives at the intersection of business, risk, and customer value — not a purely technical specialist. You have hands-on experience building, owning, and scaling B2B lending products in real-world environments, where decisions have direct impact on revenue, risk, and long-term sustainability.
You take full accountability for outcomes, not just delivery. You are comfortable setting direction, making tough prioritization decisions, and owning the results — whether that means accelerating growth, tightening risk, or balancing both.
You bring confidence working in complex, regulated lending environments and understand the trade-offs that come with operating in financial services. You are pragmatic, data-informed, and able to navigate ambiguity while ensuring products remain compliant, scalable, and commercially sound.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Product Manager in B2B lending, with a demonstrable track record of launching and scaling lending products.
Hands-on experience with commercial lending, including both small and large-ticket loans.
Strong understanding of credit risk, underwriting principles, portfolio performance, and lending economics.
Minimum 3+ years of relevant product management experience, ideally within fintech, lending, banking, or financial services.
Ability to balance commercial goals with customer experience, risk management, and regulatory requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using data to drive decisions.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to work effectively across commercial, risk, and technology teams.
Good to have
Big ticket and secured lending experience within the following: Commercial real estate lending, asset-backed lending, equipment financing, corporate or mid-market lending.
