About the role
As a Reporting Specialist, you are responsible for ensuring that the bank meets its internal and external reporting requirements. The role covers both regulatory reporting (to the Financial Supervisory Authority, the Central Bank, Statistics Sweden, etc.) and internal financial reporting to management and the Board. You act as a point of contact between business operations, risk, finance, and IT, contributing to a clear and accurate picture of the bank’s financial position and risk exposure.
This role is important as Northmill is implementing a range of new products, which requires robust reporting, strong data quality, and close collaboration across departments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and validate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to authorities and supervisory bodies.
- Prepare and deliver internal reporting to management and the Board, including key figures for liquidity, capital, and risk.
- Monitor changes in regulations (e.g., CRR/CRD, LCR/NSFR, LEI, MFI reporting) and implement them in the reporting processes.
- Develop and establish the Reporting Specialist role, including defining responsibilities, processes, and key interfaces with other departments.
- Participate in the development and improvement of systems and routines for data collection, consolidation, and reporting.
- Collaborate with other functions (risk, compliance, finance, IT) to ensure data quality and correct interpretation of regulations.
- Act as a point of contact with external stakeholders, such as the Financial Supervisory Authority, auditors, and business partners.
Qualifications
As a Reporting Specialist, you have a strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring that all work is delivered to the highest standards. At the same time, you have the ability to see the bigger picture and understand the bank’s overall business model, connecting your work to the wider goals of the organization. In our smaller, fast-moving environment, you thrive by showing flexibility and initiative, adapting to varying tasks and taking ownership where needed.
- University degree in economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, or equivalent.
- 3-5 years experience in bank reporting.
- Strong knowledge of banking regulations (CRR/CRD) and reporting templates (COREP, FINREP, LCR, NSFR, etc.).
- Proficiency in Excel.
